"Monty Python's Spamalot," the hit musical based on the work of the offbeat British comedy group, will be heading to Wynn Las Vegas in 2007, producers of the show said on Monday.
The $2.7-billion casino, which opened in April, is already home to "Le Reve," created by former Cirque du Soleil director Franco Dragone and puppet-and-people musical "Avenue Q" will open at the casino on Aug. 27.
A third theater will be built for "Spamalot," which in June won the Tony award for best musical. The show is slated to open at the casino in 2007, said Adrian Bryan-Brown, a spokesman for the show's producers.
A national tour for the musical will begin in Boston in March 2006 and will run concurrently with the Broadway and Las Vegas productions.
